Reza Baharvand was born in 1976 in Khoramabad – Iran; he received his Bachelor’s degree in painting from the Isfahan University of Art and his master’s from Tehran University of Art. His works have been displayed in many solo and group exhibitions and at international art fairs in Iran, the United States, Europe, and Asia. Baharvand’s early works were in the abstract style, but in recent years he has been focusing on war as his primary subject matter. A Member of the Iranian Painters Society, Baharvand is also a Lecturer at the University of Science & Culture and the University of Tehran Art.
