Davood Zandian was born in 1954 in Tehran, Iran. He moved to Norway in 1989, where he currently lives and works. Zandian’s painting style follows expressiveness in drawing and colour, narrative attitude, rejection of traditional standards of composition and design, juxtaposing various picture planes and perspectives, and refusal to idealise the image. The subject of his paintings has mainly remained related to Iran. Zandian has presented his works in several exhibitions in Iran, Germany, UAE, Sweden, and Norway. In addition, his works have also been offered at auctions multiple times. Davood Zandian is a member of The Association of Norwegian Visual Artists (NBK) and the National Association of Norwegian Painters (LNM).
