Bahram Ghonchepour was born in 1985, in Hamedan, Iran. He received his BA from Shahed Art University and MA from the Art University of Tehran. Ghonchepour’s works show his fascination with the ancient culture of Iran, which in his idea, is fading quickly. His works allow us to journey to a moment in past where imagination can easily wonder, a trip to a moment suspended between reality and wonder. Ghonchehpour works with old architecture structures and uses 3d digital software to create his forms, and through using photo editing software, he achieves the final sketch. He also sometimes uses 3D printers to print sculptures and starts working on textures and colours, using casting, resins and other materials in his studio. Ghonchehpour has received several awards for his works, and he has participated in solo and group exhibitions since he started his career.
